American Lit: Sub Day 1

Standard: ELAGSE11-12RL9 Demonstrate knowledge of eighteenth-, nineteenth- and early twentieth-century foundational works (of American Literature, British Literature, World Literature, or Multicultural Literature), including how two or more texts from the same period treat similar themes or topics.

Learning Target: I can examine informational and literary nonfiction text to set the historical context for reading.

Work Session: 

You should turn in your book to page 110 and do the following parts of activity 2.2:

  • Read Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God excerpt on page 110 and answer questions 1-4
  • Review the New England Primer historical document on page 112
  • Read “The Lessons of Salem” on page 115 and answer questions 10-15
  • View the illustration on page 120 and answer questions 16-18
  • Complete the chart on page 121.

I realize this may be too much to do today – get done as much as you can!
